Bought the Freedom Black battalion Boot for myself and a pair for my son. Mine was a Very good boot. Wore them as a Correction officer for 5 years until they finally gave out. My son’s Boots on the other hand had issues very soon after purchase. The soles came loose and cracked across the bottom. The company repaired them but sent me a bill for the repair. I was going to take a chance on another pair for myself but, you can never find them in stock even after months of waiting and the price has increased to the point where the boot is not worth the price.

I got these boots around Christmas 2012 and while it took me awhile to break them in they are comfortable and waterproof(mink oil helps with both). A few weeks ago I wore them on a ~10 mile hike with numerous creek crossings and my feet stayed dry. Great product and will buy another pair in a few years when these give out.
